Summer

This past summer I spent a good amount of my time at the beach and with my friends. This picture depicts my friends Nick and Liam, and I spending a day kayaking on the ocean. Nick and I had visited Liam's beach house up in Wells (Maine), and because the beach was crowded that day, decided to give kayaking a try.

This is another picture from my adventure up to my friend, Liam's beach house. We wanted to get the most out of our beach trip so at night we had to find different things to do. We challenged each other on various mini golf courses in which I emerged victorious 2 out of 2 times. Mini golfing was getting old so we decided to go to the arcade, where I surprised Nick and Liam with my amazing skee-ball precision.

This past summer, the world lost one of its most beloved comedians/actors, Robin Williams. It was very unexpected and shocking to everyone. He had committed suicide, and it was hard for a lot of people to believe that such a person, who always seemed so bright and cheery on the outside could be experiencing depression on the inside and take his own life. He was personally one of my favorite actors and I will miss his humor.

Another big event that had everyone buzzing was the Market Basket Strike. My local Market Basket went from being packed on a daily basis, to looking like it belonged in a ghost town. My mother, who hates Hannaford's, shopped there for groceries all summer long just to help the cause. In the end, Artie T. was reinstated and now everything is back to normal, and my mother doesn't have to complain about having to shop at Hannaford's anymore
